Dachser chief financial officer Robert Erni is to leave the company on June 30 for “personal reasons”.

Chief executive Burkhard Eling, who was previously chief financial officer at Dachser from 2013 until 2021, will take over the position alongside his existing role, said the logistics company.

Erni’s contract was up for renewal at the end of the year, said Dachser.

Bernhard Simon, chairman of the Dachser supervisory board, said: “We would like to thank Robert Erni for his successful work over the past two years. With his immense experience and his fresh view from the outside, he has further developed the Executive Unit Finance, Legal, Tax  at Dachser and provided important impetus for the entire company on the Executive Board.”

In December, Dachser appointed Tobias Burger as its new chief operating officer for air and sea logistics (ASL) to replace Edoardo Podestà.

That same month, Dachser acquired the remaining 50% of the shares in its Hungarian joint ventures “Liegl & Dachser Szállítmányozási és Logisztikai Kft.” (transport and storage of industrial goods and food products) and “Liegl & Dachser ASL Hungary Kft.” (air and sea freight).
