DP World has appointed Peter Dyeremose as senior director of airfreight for the Americas as it seeks to drive growth in its airfreight freight forwarding services across the region.

Dyeremose joins DP World with over 25 years of experience in logistics and airfreight. He previously worked at Mainfreight Inc., where he was responsible for airfreight operations and managing global agent partnerships throughout the Americas.

His career also includes time with DSV US HQ, where he led the development of the US airfreight sector and launched the cruise vertical, plus K+N, where he supported the cruise and pharma sectors.

DP World has also hired Philip Blumenthal as senior director of ocean freight.

Terry Donohoe, senior vice president, freight forwarding – Americas, DP World, said: “We are pleased to welcome both Philip and Peter, whose contributions will drive growth across our ocean and air freight sectors, propelling DP World’s freight forwarding business to new heights.

“Their extensive expertise will be instrumental in expanding our freight forwarding footprint across the Americas. Their combined leadership and innovative approach to logistics will allow DP World to scale our freight operations, streamline processes, and deliver seamless supply chain solutions to our customers.”

DP World said these appointments come at a time when it is investing rapidly in its freight forwarding services to create more integrated, efficient end-to-end solutions.

Since mid-2023, DP World has launched over 150 new freight forwarding offices globally, with 20 of these situated throughout the Americas. The company’s most recent launch was its freight forwarding office in Panama City.

In May, airfreight operations began at DP World’s air cargo logistics hub in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
