Hillebrand appoints new CEO

DHL Global Forwarding-owned Hillebrand Gori has appointed Dominique von Orelli as chief executive with immediate effect.
He succeeds chief executive of DHL Global Forwarding Tim Scharwath who in a dual function has led the integration of the drinks logistics specialist since its acquisition in March 2022.
Von Orelli will report into Scharwath and will maintain responsibility for ocean freight in the coming months in addition to his new role.
“In almost four decades with DHL, Dominique has been instrumental in positioning Ocean Freight as a strong core product within DHL Global Forwarding and a leader in the industry. With his excellent business knowledge, Dominique has also played an important role in the acquisition and integration of Hillebrand.
“Under his leadership Hillebrand Gori will reach new heights and strengths as an expert in the logistics of beverages, beer, wine and spirits,” said Scharwath.
Casper Ellerbaek will succeed von Orelli as the new global head of ocean freight on September 1.
