SATS has appointed Céline Hourcade as its new vice president, global head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)/sustainability.

Hourcade joins SATS from Change Horizon, the consultancy she established in 2019 to support aviation and logistics firms with their sustainable corporate strategies, development, and transformation projects.

“Always fascinated by the world of ground handling, I am truly excited to join the SATS/WFS group and lead the global Sustainability/ESG agenda with a great team,” she said in a LinkedIn post.

“With a commitment to driving meaningful and positive change, I look forward to contributing to SATS’ sustainable growth and success and working with SATS community over 220 locations in 27 countries.”

Hourcade was also the former head of cargo transformation at IATA and transition director of TIACA.

She is also the co-founder of the IATA Future Air Cargo Executives (FACE) programme to attract, develop and retain young talent in the air cargo industry and the Women in Aviation & Logistics (WAL) initiative to improve the gender balance within the industry in 2021.
