John Menzies creates management board and appoints new CFO

John Menzies, the holding company of Menzies Aviation, has announced changes to its senior management.

The organisation has appointed Alvaro Gomez-Reino as its new chief financial officer and it has also created a new executive management board.

Gomez-Reino has previously held senior financial positions with Amey plc, Ferrovial and Swissport where he was chief financial officer. He will take up his role at John Menzies and join its board of directors on December 1.

John Menzies has also promoted Mervyn Walker to chief operating officer with immediate effect.

The new board, set up to deliver the organisation’s strategy and business goals, will be chaired by Philipp Joeinig, executive chairman. The other members of the board are: Giles Wilson, chief executive; John Geddes, corporate affairs director; Claire Hall, executive vice president of people; Alvaro Gomez-Reino and Mervyn Walker.
