Kerr takes over as head of CLA as Grishin leaves the company

David Kerr has now officially taken over as the head of Stansted-based freighter operator CargoLogicAir.
Kerr started his role as chief executive on January 1 but has taken over all responsibilities from Dmitry Grishin, who has now left the company.
CLA said Grishin “successfully led the establishment and launch of CargoLogicAir as well as its initial network development”.
“Mr Grishin contributed significantly to the company’s formation, its initial validation process and the commencement of flight operations,” CLA added in a statement.
“As the airline now moves towards achieving its next strategic milestones, Mr Kerr’s key responsibilities will be to focus on developing CargoLogicAir into a leadership position in the air cargo market through further fleet expansion and network development, as well as strengthening the airline’s growing reputation as a high quality service provider.”
Kerr was previously senior vice president at Etihad Cargo until the end of 2017 and has more than 20 years of experience in the airline sector, holding senior roles for world-leading companies in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Kerr’s career path has been in varied industries including FMCG, Banking and Travel. His first job in the aviation industry was with American Airlines and most recently Etihad Aviation Group.
CargoLogicAir, which boasts it is the only British cargo airline operating flights from the UK, has a fleet of three Boeing 747 freighter aircraft, including two B747-400Fs and one B747-8F.
It is due to take delivery of its fourth aircraft early this year, while a fifth will join before the end of 2018.
The airline offers services to Frankfurt, Mexico City, Atlanta, Houston, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tel Aviv.
