Georgi Group has appointed Benjamin Weil as chief executive of Georgi Handling.

Weil was previously commercial manager with responsibility for sales at the division, a position which he had held since November 2019.

Prior to this, he was head 0f business development at BCL CargoLogistik and held general services, business development and operations roles at FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services.

“His extensive experience and profound knowledge will significantly contribute to our ability to continue our successful path with confidence and determination,” said Georgi Group.

“We warmly welcome Benjamin to his new role and look forward to a successful collaboration.”

To accommodate recent growth at Georgi Handling, several structural and procedural changes are underway.

“Management is being fortified and diversified,” said Georgi Group.

Former Georgi Handling chief executive Diana Schöneich left the company last month to continue her career at the Adam Hall Group in the music industry.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Diana for her outstanding work and tireless dedication to the company, and we wish her all the best for her future endeavours,” said Georgi Group.

In addition to road feeder services provided by Georgi Transport, the Georgi Group specialises in handling sensitive cargo such as security, high-value pharmaceuticals, hazardous shipments as well as transport of engines and outsize goods. It also offers road convoy and escort services.

Georgi Handling provides full cargo handling services at Frankfurt and and Leipzig/Halle airport facilities.

Georgi Group recently said it has introduced HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel as an option for all its transport services.
