New director for Challenge Technic

Challenge Group has appointed Petur Thor Gudjonsson as the new technical director at Challenge Technic in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Gudjonsson brings over 20 years of experience in line maintenance, having worked with companies including Air Atlanta, SO Tech, Wow Air, and GMT. His expertise spans both Boeing and Airbus fleets.

“Since joining the Group, Petur has consistently excelled in roles focused on Safety and Quality, showcasing exceptional dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards. His appointment as Technical Director is a testament to his outstanding performance,” said Challenge Group.

The company added that Gudjonsson has taken on a valuable leadership role as Challenge Technic continues to expand.

Challenge Technic provides a broad range of ad hoc and scheduled maintenance services to more than 35 of the world’s airlines.

As well as troubleshooting, its services include detailed inspection and maintenance of filters, critical systems, and emergency equipment; providing and exchanging urgent aircraft parts on grounded aircraft; and regular aircraft inspections supervised and certified by licenced aircraft engineers (LAE) to proactively ensure continuing airworthiness.
