Time-critical logistics firm time:matters Singapore has appointed Jon Norvald Haugen as its new managing director.

Haugen started the role on July 1 and succeeds Wolf-Dieter Schwarz, who led time:matters Singapore since 2013 but has now retired.

Prior to his new role, Haugen held various management roles within Lufthansa Cargo.

These included country manager Norway and, since 2018, director sales and handling in the Middle East, based in Dubai.

His appointment comes as the company has embarked on expansion in the Asia Pacific region.

Alexander Kohnen, chief executive of time:matters, said: “Together with Jon Norvald Haugen and his team, we want to continuously develop high-growth markets in Asia in the future as well and further expand our broad range of transport services in the Asia Pacific region and intercontinental.

“This will allow us to meet the specific requirements and needs of our global customer base for fast and highly efficient transport solutions.”
