Nissen joins Billund Airport as market and route development manager

Denmark’s Billund Airport (BLL) has appointed Kaspar Andreas Nissen into the role of market and route development manager, effective from March 1.

Nissen’s most recent position was air cargo specialist at Copenhagen Airport and prior to that, he held cargo roles at at SAS, Qatar Airways and Leman.

Jesper Klausholm, head of airline relations and marketing at BLL, said Nissen’s extensive network and knowledge to the air cargo industry will bring another dimension to the team at BLL.

Commenting on his new role, Nissen said: “Billund may not seem like more than a dot on the map, but located in the center of everything my new colleagues at BLL have done an impressive job already redeeming the wide opportunities the catchment area brings.

“BLL has an exceptionally high professionalism in route development and a cargo department that knows just how to meet the customers and make them extremely satisfied.

“The future ambitions for BLL are very interesting as the airport is located in an incredibly strong area both for business and leisure travelers as well as cargo. I look forward to bring my skills to work with the rest of the team to ensure the continuous growth at BLL.”
