AVIAREPS has appointed Frederick Overton as its global head of cargo as it looks to expand its cargo GSSA business.

In his new role, Overton is tasked with overseeing and expanding the company’s cargo division and building on existing relationships with airlines.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Overton began working in the air cargo industry with IAG Cargo back in 2015.

He left the company for just over a year to work at CargoLogicAir but returned in 2019 and in 2021 was promoted to the role of regional commercial manager for Europe and Africa.

AVIAREPS chief executive Edgar Lacker said: “We are excited to have Frederick on board to execute our strategy for the global cargo division and grow the business field within AVIAREPS.

“Frederick brings with him significant air cargo experience gained from working at several major airline groups which will help us rapidly grow this new division. Cargo is a fast-paced industry, and we believe it has great growth potential.”

The company’s air cargo services include: cargo sales, reservations, customer service, truck & flight planning, revenue accounting and total cargo management. The overall company has 71-owned offices in 67 countries.
