Panalpina announces new European chief executive

Panalpina today announced a new key hire – Christian Wurst as regional chief executive for Europe.
Wurst will join Panalpina on February 19 from CEVA Logistics, where he held the position of regional manager Germany.
Wurst has an "extensive track record" in the freight and logistics industry having worked for DB Schenker, Wincanton and RWTUV.
As regional chief executive Europe, Wurst will be based in Frankfurt.
“Christian Wurst is a distinguished industry expert and strong leader. He will strengthen our Executive Committee and help us reach our ambitious growth targets for 2020,” said Panalpina chief executive Stefan Karlen
Wurst holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Kassel and an MA in Business Administration from WHU – Koblenz Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management.
