A LOT more space to New York

LOT Polish Airlines has launched a seasonal New York/Warsaw all-cargo route operated by a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
The carrier said it was prompted by the limited number of passenger flights in the winter season, especially in February.
The flights, operated by Canadian-based Cargojet Airways, can carry up to 48 tons and can take larger pieces up to 240 cm, compared with the 160 cm limit on passenger aircraft.
Flights are scheduled for January-April and October-December. For January and March, planned weekly flights depart from New York (JFK) on Saturdays and from Warsaw on Sundays. In February, there will be an additional flight from Warsaw on Thursdays.
LOT aims to tap into the market not only in Poland, but also neighbouring countries, including the Czech Republic and Germany and as far afield as Belarus, Lithuania, Romania and Italy. Onward connections are available to US and Canadian airports.
