ACS opens Houston office

CHARTER broker Air Charter Service (ACS) is to open a new office in Houston, Texas to satisfy airfreight demand from oil and gas companies.
It comes after the company’s North American operations grew by nearly a third last year.
“A large part of that growth was on the cargo side of the business,” reveals Justin Lancaster, commercial director.
“We’ve seen a large increase in demand from our customers around the Houston area, especially from forwarders involved in the oil and gas industry, and we wanted to better serve them with a local presence,” he adds.
The cargo aircraft charter market around the southern US states is currently booming, he says.
“We will be able to accommodate further growth with a Houston base,” Lancaster adds.
The move will be a seamless transition for many of ACS’ customers who already deal with the cargo department in the company’s New York office.
Heading the new operation will be Dustin Roades, currently cargo sales manager at the company’s New York office.
