Intradco to broaden global reach

LIVESTOCK and bloodstock transport specialist Intradco is poised for global expansion under the auspices of its owner Chapman Freeborn (CF).
The international aircraft charter company completed the acquisition of the UK-based business, which has more than 30 years experience in animals transportation, in February.
Intradco will capitalise on CF’s international network of more than 30 offices, by using them to target potential growth regions including the racing and breeding industries in North and South America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia.
"Our global offices have seen a tremendous increase in livestock and bloodstock requests since Intradco joined us,” observes Russi Batliwala, chief executive.
“Their niche expertise and own equipment has made them a market leader for animal transport services.”
Intradco offers a growing range of custom-designed stalls and cattle pens for lease.
Eddie McMullen, managing director of Intradco, points out: “This is an exciting development that we believe sits perfectly with our approach – it just makes sense. The initial focus will be on promoting our services in previously untapped markets by making the most of Chapman Freeborn’s global office coverage and local market knowledge. There are exciting times ahead!”
The company’s experience includes coordinating horse charters for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Breeders’ Cup and Dubai World Cup, as well as transporting 247 deer from USA to Russia and 400 alpacas from Chile to London.
Intradco also flew 47 horses from Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) – to Belgium earlier this year.
