Jettainer appoints Trapp as IT director

Lufthansa Cargo’s ULD management subsidiary, Jettainer, has appointed Arnd Trapp as its new IT director as it looks to enhance its container track and trace capabilities.
Trapp has worked in the airfreight sector for more than 20 years, holding various management positions within the Lufthansa Group. Most recently head of the systems engineering department at Lufthansa CityLine.
Jettainer said: "In his new role, Trapp will continue to develop the company’s software landscape JettWare, the basis for the intelligent management of pallets and containers.
"He will particularly focus on tracking and tracing for airfreight ULDs and introducing technical innovations in the field of mobile IT solutions."
He will also continue to develop Jettainer’s cooperation with the University of Cologne. This involves developing a self-learning software solution, which will serve the experts at Jettainer as an aid to decision-making in future.
He will also press ahead with the ongoing development work on the mobile arm of JettWare, the JettApp application, which is being used at airports.
