UPS to reduce Ireland-Switzerland delivery times by 48 hours

Parcels carrier UPS says it has shaved up to 48 hours off deliveries between Ireland and Switzerland through enhancements to its ground network. Packages can be delivered up to 48 hours faster on its standard service to 60% of consumers in Switzerland.
According to UPS consumer research, the majority of online shoppers abandon transactions when they see that delivery times are too long.
President of UPS Europe Nando Cesarone said the carrier was investing US$2 billion in its European network and infrastructure by 2019.
