Equitrans ensures smooth ride for Royal Show horses

Dubai based horse transporter Equitrans Logistics has successfully carried out a complex horse transport operation as the Middle East partner for the UK’s Royal Windsor Horse Show.

This year’s special Platinum Jubilee edition of the event, held from May 12-15, was one of the year’s biggest movements of horses and equipment from the region. It comprised 250 horses, 20 tonnes of equipment and 25 grooms and vets transported from Bahrain, UAE and Oman on five chartered B777s.

Equitrans shipped horses for the Royal Cavalry of Oman Mounted Musical Band, the Bahrain Defence Force, the Kingdom of Bahrain show jumping teams and the Royal Bahrain Endurance Team.

The shipment also included ornate carriages, musical instruments and all equestrian tack and equipment and vet supplies.
