FedEx expands Paris CDG intra-European capacity

FedEx Express has expanded its intra-European air network and will also introduce extra transatlantic capacity for the peak season.

The express firm introduced its additional European flights in a phased approach starting September.

The flights will increase connectivity at the firm’s Paris CDG hub.

The additional flights include Paris CDG-Kiev, adding 68,000 kg of weekly capacity; CDG-Manchester, adding 23,500 kg of weekly capacity; and Paris CDG-Stockholm, adding 60,000 kg of weekly capacity.

Meanwhile, flights from Paris CDG to Shannon, Prague-Timisoara, Venice and Katowice-Warsaw will have aircraft upgraded.

Meanwhile, transatlantic capacity will be increased by 20% for the busiest week of the year in anticipation of “high holiday volumes”.

Karen Reddington president of FedEx Express Europe, said: “These latest air network investments demonstrate our commitment to growth, to our customers, and to supporting the flow of trade at a challenging time for supply chains and companies.”
