FedEx Express broadens international options

FedEx Express has added 14 new Asia Pacific origin markets to its International First service to the US and Canada, bringing the total to 25 Asia Pacific origin markets.

“Asia Pacific remains an engine of the global economy, powering the growth of global trade,” said Karen Reddington, president, Asia Pacific at FedEx Express.

“The accelerated development of Asia Pacific businesses has spurred increased need to reach global customers in a time-definite manner.”

FedEx International First is a premium time-definite, customs-cleared and door-to-door express service with a pre-defined delivery commitment for shipments up to 68kg per package.

It is the fastest option within the FedEx International network. Asia Pacific customers can have their shipments delivered as early as 08:00hrs in one to two business days to nearly 5,000 zip codes across the US, 10:00hrs in one to two business days to Canada and Latin America, and 09:00hrs in two to three business days to Europe.

Customers in Australia, China, Japan and Singapore can receive shipments from the US, Canada and Latin America by 10:00hrs in one to three business days.

In another development, FedEx Express has also expanded its International Economy service, to include 68 more lanes between Asia Pacific and Europe.

The service now covers new destinations in Bulgaria, Malta and Cyprus, while international economy freight service is now offered to Romania and Estonia. A cross-border, customs-cleared, door-to-door service with competitive delivery rates, it is particularly well suited to small and medium-sized enterprises who wish to save on less time-sensitive shipments.
