Indian aviation firm Modair has launched an air logistics company that offers same-day cargo delivery.

Modair Express will use small aircraft to offer daily scheduled express cargo fights between large Indian cities and less accessible areas.

On its website, the company said it serves the e-commerce and retail, pharmaceutical, tech and telecom, and automotive logistics. Services include high value cargo, cold chain cargo, dangerous, fragile and perishable goods.

“With plans to emerge as an air cargo behemoth, we aim to connect all the remote locations with Modair Express,” said Atul Jain, chairman of Modair.

“The country’s air cargo business is poised to take off in a big way with the fast-emerging need of transporting imported goods and medical equipment from one region to another as quickly as possible. In particular, the growth of the ‘value buying’ segment is quite encouraging for the air cargo segment.

“However, the segment faces a huge shortage of dependable services providers. Modair is committed to driving the businesses of its clients several notches higher with a modern, innovative fleet in service and on order.”

Modair offers bespoke experience to the adventure air tourism enthusiasts through their private jets and a wide bouquet of adventure sports offerings.
