UPS offers improved tracking technology to improve transparency

Global express services provider UPS has released an improved Flex Global View, a ‘management and visibility tool’ for air, ocean and surface freight shipping, including warehouse inventory, purchase orders and customs entry.
UPS supply chain customers who log into Flex™ Global View will now benefit from upgrades including:

  • Detailed shipping alerts – Flex Global View sends email alerts to customers regarding specific supply chain events associated with shipments and/or customs entries.  These alerts now include more shipment-specific details that were previously only available by logging into the system and searching for information.
  • Better dashboards and reports – Flex Global View’s dashboards and reports have been reorganised to make it easier for customers to find what they are looking for.

“UPS is committed to continuous improvement to this important customer technology tool,” declared Cindy Miller, president of UPS Freight Forwarding.
“No one likes supply chain surprises, which is why Flex Global View offers a level of visibility, reporting and alerts that keep customers informed and in better control of their supply chain.”
