UPS satisfies the need for speed

UPS has launched an Express Critical service in Europe for shipments such as parts for grounded aircraft parts or urgently required surgical tools.
A UPS team will assess the shipping request through a round-the-clock contact center, identify transportation alternatives and implement a delivery solution that meets time and cost requirements.
These include a personal courier who can carry the shipment by hand from origin to destination on a commercial flight. Also available are large cargo planes for oversized shipments, door-to-door service for nearly any size shipment, and end-of-runway  intercept service in which the shipment is picked up at the end of the runway to speed up transport or specialized vehicles for door-to-door ground transport within Europe.
Specific security and insurance services are available through UPS Capital.
Customers also get access to a shipping team, a 24/7/365 call center, transportation dashboards, customisable reports and alerts, shipment document imaging and shipment arrival forecasting.
Vice President Logistics and Distribution for UPS in Europe, Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East, Boris Dobberstein, said: ”With the launch of UPS Express Critical service, our customers in Europe can  quickly find a way to get their critical shipments to their destination, balancing speed and cost. For many of our customers, speed to market determines how successfully they can reach customers and grow their business.”
