Three BDP International office locations have achieved Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) in pharmaceutical logistics certifications from IATA.

The logistics and transportation solutions company’s Brussels, Belgium, Milan, Italy, and JFK, New York, locations have completed training that aims to enable international compliance standards to safeguard pharmaceutical product integrity during the transportation process.

IATA developed CEIV Pharma to assist the air cargo supply chain by establishing a common baseline from existing regulations and standards.

The certification confirms that the company’s handling of pharmaceutical products meets the IATA Temperature Control Regulations (TCR) and international standards and best practices, including those of the World Health Organization, European Union Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and the United States Pharmacopeia standards.

“Ensuring product quality is a significant challenge for the pharmaceutical industry,” said Simona Ravera, BDP’s director of sales for life sciences, EMEA. “With the CEIV certification, our customers around the world can trust that their logistics partner is invested in the highest quality standards for their high-quality products.”

BDP offers ocean, air, and ground transportation services.
