Çelebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management, the joint venture between Delhi International Airport Private Ltd (DIAL) and Çelebi Ground Handling, has received IATA CEIV Pharma certification for its cargo and warehouse operations.

The certification confirms the company’s capability of handling temperature-sensitive pharma goods to IATA’s globally recognised standard and comes as the global rollout of Covid-19 vaccines continues.

Kamesh Peri, chief executive of Çelebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management, commented: “This is a prestigious certification to have, especially in present times with the highest standards expected in handling temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals. We have achieved it after a thorough audit process performed by IATA who assessed and found our quality systems, infrastructure, procedures, and policies to be in absolute compliance. This was made possible by our committed team.”

Çelebi’s 1,200 sq m pharma logistics centre at Delhi Cargo Terminal has a pre-cool facility and four chambers capable of storing goods between 15⁰c and -20⁰c. Recently, Çelebi also achieved GDP (Good Distribution Practice) certification for its pharma operations at Delhi Cargo Terminal.
