Peli BioThermal establishes pharma container service hub in Incheon

Pharmaceutical packaging company Peli BioThermal has opened a new station and drop point Incheon, South Korea to benefit from the pharma market – which is a key driver of the country’s economic growth.

The Incheon location will service, refurbish, repair and condition Peli BioThermal’s reusable Crēdo Cargo and Crēdo Xtreme shipping containers.

GlobalData reports that South Korea’s pharmaceutical market is expected to climb to $23.3bn by 2022 and according to the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, pharmaceutical exports have experienced double digit annual growth in recent years as a result of increasing shipments to Europe, Asia and North America.

Dominic Hyde, vice president of Crēdo on Demand at Peli BioThermal, commented: “South Korea is a significant player in the development of generic pharmaceuticals, and it’s already home to 40-plus multinational pharmaceutical companies.”

“Having access to a high performance, flexible rental option for shipping temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals can expand South Korea’s reach throughout Asia and beyond.”
