The addition of six new members will help air cargo organisation Pharma.Aero advance new projects aimed at improving life-science supply chains, the organisation said.

The companies joining the group as full members are logistics firms DB Schenker and JAS, while airline MSC Air Cargo, tracking device provider OnAsset Intelligence and logistics service providers Medista, and xpd global have enlisted as associate partners.

Frank Van Gelder, secretary general of Pharma.Aero, said: “It is with pleasure that we acknowledge multiple new members joining the Pharma.Aero ecosystem. This membership growth empowers us to advance significant projects and offer valuable insights, reinforcing our commitment to the industry.”

MSC Air Cargo head of products, quality and transformation Joern Roehl added: “This partnership aligns with our commitment to cross-industry collaboration, allowing us to share our insights and collaborate with other industry experts driving innovation.”

Dorothee Becher, head of airfreight pharma & healthcare Europe at DB Schenker, also said that the partnership would allow the logistics company to collaborate and shape the future of the cargo industry.

Laetitia Chery, Europe, Middle East and Africa pharma and healthcare sales director at JAS added that the decision underscored the company’s commitment to “staying at the forefront of the ever-evolving healthcare environment” and its commitment to “enhancing collaboration, fueling innovation, sharing developments”.

Pharma.Aero has a network of more than 70 pharma-certified logistics stakeholders and life science manufacturers.
