Va-Q-tec opens rental station in Mumbai

Cool chain equipment lessor va-Q-tec has opened its first container rental network station in India for pharmaceutical shipments.
The recently qualified and trained network station in Mumbai, opened in cooperation with Japan’s Yusen Logistics, is the first of multiple hubs to follow in India.
Siddarth Kasturia, senior general manager at Yusen Logistics, said: "Knowing that India is poised to be the ‘Pharma Factory of the world’ in the next 5–10 years, Yusen Logistics India is very happy to engage with va-Q-tec as an approved Network Station (at Mumbai).”
He added: “We have commenced the operations at Mumbai and shall be extending these services to Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and some other stations, very soon."
Dominic Hyde, managing director at va-Q-tec, said: "The newly opened network station in Mumbai enables our customers to remove the containers from the airport and transport them freely within India ensuring an unbroken cool chain for the entire duration of the shipment from origin to destination.
