Aero Capital Solutions adds more B737 conversions

Aero Capital Solutions (ACS) has signed up for a further seven B737-800 freighter conversions as looks to the long-term potential of the air cargo market.
The conversions will be provided by Aeronautical Engineers Inc’s STC and come in addition to the 14 aircraft that Aero Capital has already committed for conversion.
Explaining the decision to add more freighters, Jason Barany, cheif of Aero Capital Solutions, said: “The aircraft freighter market has strong potential that will long outlast the immediate demand effects of the Covid pandemic
“ACS’ expertise in securing mid-life aircraft that are the optimal age for conversion is enabling us to create a high value, versatile narrowbody freighter fleet that is already driving interest from cargo operators and express carriers across the globe.”
The first of the additional Boeing 737-800 aircraft will commence modification in January 2022 and will be performed by Commercial Jet Inc. based in Miami, Florida, with the final aircraft commencing modification in November 2022.
Upon completion, ACS’ total freighter portfolio will comprise of 21 aircraft.
The AEI converted B737-800SF freighter offers a maindeck payload of around 24 tonnes and incorporates eleven full height 88” x 125” container positions, plus an additional position for an AEP/AEH.
