ACMI and charter cargo airline Texel Air said it has has received a B737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) from owner Chisholm Enterprises for operation in the DHL network.

In a LinkedIn post, the company said: “This morning we received aircraft 5 into our fleet ready to be re-registered as A9C-JNC painted in full DHL livery. Thank you to DHL Express Middle East and North Africa for the trust in TexelAir, we cannot wait to fly our latest B737-800BCF across your network.”

The delivery brings Texel Air’s growing B737-80oBCF fleet to five.

In addition to the B737-800BCF aircraft, the airline’s fleet includes the B737-300F and the B737-700 FlexCombi.

In April, DHL Express MENA launched a direct flight from Bahrain to Istanbul, following the signing of a lease agreement with Texel Air for the cargo operator’s Boeing 737-800BCF aircraft on the route.

The 737-800BCF carries more payload – up to 23.9 tonnes (52,800 lbs.) – and flies farther – 2,025 nautical miles (3,750 km) compared to 737 Classic freighters. Globally, the 737-800BCF has more than 200 orders and commitments.
