Finnair has appointed Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide cargo warehouse handling at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France.

The logistics specialist and ground handler will also support the airline with domestic trucking services and cargo reception points across France.

Finnair operates 28 wide- and narrow-bodied passenger flights per week, connecting Paris with Helsinki, Finland.

In addition to general cargo, WFS’ full service offering for Finnair in France will support the airline’s shipments of temperature-sensitive pharma cargo, perishables and frozen shipments, valuable and vulnerable products and dangerous goods.

“We are proud to welcome Finnair as a new customer of WFS in France. The airline and its customers will benefit from our ability to support the transportation of all suitable air cargo products,” said Laurent Bernard, vice president cargo France at WFS.

“We look forward to supporting the growth and quality of Finnair’s cargo services on this important route between Helsinki and Paris, and its ability to provide a solution covering the whole of France.”

WFS recently announced it will use 3D modelling software to build ULD’s more efficiently and optimise cargo capacity.
