Polar Air Cargo has selected WFS to provide cargo handling services at Los Angeles International (LAX).

As of December 2021, WFS has been providing full warehouse handling services for the more than 5,000 tonnes of cargo carried each month by Polar’s all-Boeing freighter fleet ex-LAX.

WFS already provides handling services to Polar Air Cargo at its hub in Cincinnati, as well as in Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, New York JFK, Seattle and Toronto airports.

Polar has significantly grown its footprint at LAX through the addition of a second warehouse totalling more than 230,000 sq ft.

WFS currently manages 235,000 sq ft of warehouse space at LAX.

The handler’s general cargo handling volumes in Los Angeles now exceed 22,000 tonnes per month.

Polar is a joint venture of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings and DHL Express. WFS also manages handling for Atlas Air’s scheduled and ad-hoc freighter service from Los Angeles.
