Shanghai signs handling deal with Nantong airport

Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal (PACTL) has signed a joint venture agreement with Nantong Xingdong Airport to offer handling services to airlines and forwarders at the latter.
Nantong Airport, to the north-west of Shanghai, will hold a 51% stake in the company, PACTL Nantong Xingdong Airport Cargo Terminal (PACTL NTG), registration of which is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2016. The two shareholders will register a total capital of RMB 18 million.
PACTL NTG will initially offer passenger baggage handling and loading but further services will be added in line with customer demand.
Nantong Airport will in the meantime benefit from a significant enhancement of its cargo handling capabilities which will strengthen its position in the domestic cargo market.
