WFS expands at Heathrow

Cargo handler Worldwide Flight Services has signed a lease for a “significant” new facility at the Heathrow Cargo Centre (HCC).
Property owner Airport Property Partnership (APP), owned by SEGRO and Aviva Investors, said WFS had signed up to take a 7,650 sq m airside unit at HCC.
Alan Holland, director of APP and SEGRO’s business unit director for greater London, said: “WFS is a major player in the cargo handling industry and works with many of the world’s leading airlines.
“Their continued expansion at the HCC will help them accommodate their growing client base and deliver the high quality handling services WFS is known for all over the world.”
The latest signing follows the announcement in March 2015 of WFS acquiring a lease on the 13,900sq m building at HCC. In total, WFS now occupies nearly 37,100sq m across four units at the centre.
Last month, WFS announced plans to take a majority stake in Fraport Cargo Services.
