Budapest Airport, in Hungary, has always been dedicated to providing exceptional air cargo services and strives to improve continuously.

The airport’s professional cargo work has been recognized by several awards, including the Cargo Hub of the Year 2021 at the Air Cargo News Awards, and the airport never stops evolving: the continuous cargo development has been powered by its new BUD Cargo City since 2020, the airport’s cargo hub, which has handled record volumes of 194,000 tons in 2022.

The expansion of the hub with two further Code F aircraft stands (total 4), a new cargo apron and additional warehouses, offices and other facilities is ongoing and will increase the airport’s annual cargo capacity to 300,000 tons by end of 2023, increasing the cargo gateway role of BUD within Central and Eastern Europe.
