AGI integrates digital platform with CHAMP’s Cargospot Handling system

Ground handler Alliance Ground International (AGI) has selected CHAMP’s (application programming interface) API to enable the interweaving of its digital cargo system with CHAMP’s Cargospot Handling system.

CHAMP said its API gateway includes a developer portal designed to facilitate “independent development” by its customers.

In light of this, AGI and CHAMP worked together to adapt a specific API for Cargospot for “use by new scale hardware equipment to automate the transmission of weight data directly into Cargospot”.

Champ added that since the interweaving of systems, AGI has seen efficiency improvements by avoiding manually entered data and duplication.

“This allows AGI to adapt their own processes seamlessly and in real-time with Cargospot,” CHAMP said.

Nicholas Xenocostas, vice president commercial and customer engagement at CHAMP Cargosystems, commented: “Alliance Ground International is moving to the next stage of automation. By using APIs, AGI is maximising the efficiency of the CHAMP solutions they are already using and directly integrating them with their existing systems and workflows. The possibilities are endless.”

Juan Cobo, director of information technology, at Alliance Ground International, added: “APIs give us a lot of freedom. By creating seamless links throughout our systems with Cargospot, we are able to streamline our processes without creating awkward workarounds. We are looking forward to rolling out our new weight scales in multiple locations.”
