CHS Trade digitises in Bratislava with Hermes

Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) has helped Slovakia-based ground handler, CHS Trade to digitalise its cargo processes at Bratislava Airport with its Hermes 5 (H5) Cloud Cargo Management System (CMS).

CHS Trade is using H5 to digitise its Air Waybills, planning and data sharing processes with partners.

“Our customers have been asking us to use an advanced cargo management system that can handle complex tasks like sending multiple event messages across the handling process,” said Ctirad Emody, chief executive, CHS Trade.

“We switched to Hermes 5 because the system can handle both context-based data and event reporting, and the Hermes team are very open-minded and flexible to the customisation needs we have as a small operation.”

H5 is offered as Software as a Service (SaaS), and is hosted via Amazon Web Services (AWS), and accessed online through a virtual private network (VPN), which removes the need for on-site infrastructure expenditure.

“CHS Trade’s version of H5 was customised to enable the digitalisation of their current process,” said Jacek Lechocki, head of products and service, Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT).

“We improved the data input process and enabled printing of House Air Waybills (HAWB)s for sharing with agents, bridging the gap between digital and paper.”

The implementation was completed in under six months.
