CHAMP aims to keep Cathay Pacific on top

Air cargo IT specialist CHAMP has implemented its Cargospot suite for Cathay Pacific’s worldwide freight operations.
CHAMP chief executive, Arnaud Lambert, said the Cathay solution “goes beyond anything we have accomplished before,” adding: “We have been working in close collaboration with Cathay Pacific’s team, paying close attention to their long-term business goals and delivering continuous business benefits for them and their customers."
He predicted that Cargospot would continue to evolve with the direct involvement of Cathay Pacific over the next ten years.”
Existing software has been customised to meet the specific needs of the carrier and has been further enhanced with new business intelligence tools.
With the operational Cargospot implementation project complete, the two partners are now in the process of replacing the airline’s cargo revenue accounting systems, with the fully integrated Cargospot Revenue module. A new Air Mail solution will also be implemented in 2017.
Cathay’s director of cargo, Simon Large, added: “CHAMP’s technology and ongoing support will keep us at the forefront of an ever-changing air cargo industry.”
Cathay Pacific and CHAMP are also collaborating in a Cargo Innovative Development Centre (CIDC) to promote new thinking and push the boundaries by introducing new IT concepts and designs, cost savings and efficiencies.
