Everyone’s a winner in South Africa

South African’s Transit Group is using IVS software to produce electronic security declarations and take advantage of connections to 90 airlines through the WIN platform.
The independent freight forwarder is submitting electronic consignment security declarations (e-CSDs) using IVS’s new Cargo Consolidator System.
South African Airways’ (SAA) subsidiary Airlink has introduced an e-CSD requirement and is also a user of IVS’s Cargo Link System, which was developed and designed specifically for airlines and cargo handlers.
The new software also conforms with the International Air Transport Association (IATA)-backed e-Security Consignment Declaration process, which is also supported by the local Civil Aviation Authority.
IVS director Marius van Jaarsveld said the new WIN software “enables us to maintain and support a single message gateway to 90 airlines, instead of 90 different gateways.
“Their Web Service Platform is an instant message delivery method and a lot less resource-intensive. We are a technology-driven company that continuously develops and implements new features into all our systems.”
As a new member of WIN’s airline network, Airlink can now instantly exchange information with any carrier or freight agent on the WIN platform.
