Eirtech goes flat out for bellyhold cargo loading

Eirtech Aviation Services’ flat cargo floor system is to be installed on an Airbus A319 aircraft for the first time.
The Ireland-based company’s cover panels, which fit over the existing cargo loading system (forward and aft), provide a flat cargo floor on which cargo and passenger baggage can be easily and safely stored.
The system has been delivered to a number of Airbus A320 customers globally in 2017 and is now to be installed on an A319 for an unnamed European airline.
A spokesperson for Eirtech said: "It is the lightest and most cost effective equivalent solution on the market and can be supplied with EASA and FAA approvals. Available in short lead times, the installation of this solution takes approximately 16 person-hours allowing airlines avoid unnecessary downtime.
Eirtech, headquartered in Shannon, provides a range of aircraft engineering solutions, with engineering facilities in Dublin and Singapore.
