MNX Global Logistics adopts software to help meet ACAS requirements

MNX Global Logistics has signed up to use a Descartes Systems solution to help it meet new stricter US air cargo security requirements.
The logistics firm will use Descartes Air Cargo Advance Screening (Descartes ACAS) solution to comply with the new mandatory advanced security filing requirements for air cargo imports into the US.
The Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) is a joint US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) programme that requires data be submitted prior to loading at a foreign airport. It became mandatory in mid-June.
The Descartes ACAS solution collects the required data elements, validates the data format and transmits it to CBP within the required timeframes.
