Nippon Express USA implements CHAMP’s Traxon cargoHUB

Nippon Express USA, the US freight forwarding division of the Japan-based Nippon Express Group, has started using CHAMP’s Traxon cargoHUB for its digital data exchange.

The Traxon cargoHUB platform enables Nippon Express USA to have electronic access to more than 100 airlines and 3,000 forwarders, operating from 9,000 branches worldwide. It also “improves data quality across the supply chain” and through its capability of connecting the global airfreight community irrespective of members’ IT systems, it helps to “improve productivity and efficiency, and lower costs”.

Akihiro Higashiyama, vice president of Nippon Express USA, commented: “As our corporate mission is to continually improve our services and standardisation, Traxon cargoHUB fulfills that mission. Being part of a community, like the one CHAMP provides, is a key to staying connected to the rest of the supply chain.”

Laurent Jossa, head of sales – distribution services at CHAMP Cargosystems, added: “We are pleased to include Nippon Express USA into the Traxon cargoHUB community. Connecting its massive network of transport and logistics services will be a benefit for them, as well as the wider air cargo community.”
