Widerøe goes live with GALAXY

Norway’s Widerøe Ground Handling has gone live on Kale Logistics Solutions’ GALAXY web-based air cargo management system as part of a phased implementation of the technology at airports in its network across the Nordic region.
India-based IT solution provider Kale says GALAXY facilitates automation, visibility and control as well as helping users to drive collaboration with other stakeholders.
Widerøe Ground Handling cargo operation manager and key account manager Espen Westermann said: “Our operations are dispersed in about 39 airport locations handling varying volumes. With Kale’s GALAXY airport cargo handling system, we were able to gain complete control and visibility on our operations.”
Kale director Vineet Malhotra agreed, saying: “Air cargo operations are intricate and complex with numerous stakeholders involved at each step of a cargo transaction. With GALAXY, Widerøe can feel extremely confident that all their concerns will be addressed in a systematic and industry-compliant way.”
