Logistics provider World Cargo Solutions (WCS) has signed a multi-year contract for use of Champ Cargosystems’ suite of cargo management applications.

The application suite includes Cargospot Airline, Handling, GSA, and Revenue Accounting.

WCS has also signed up for to use Champ’s regulatory compliance services, Traxon Global Customs and Traxon Global Security, which will enable it to benefit from regulatory compliance to over 60 regulatory authorities worldwide.

WCS said that by moving its operations to Champs Cargospot suite, it will be able to provide its customers with expanded features and sales offerings — including dynamic pricing, booking — and revenue accounting to maximise capacity and streamline its operations.

“This will allow WCS’ customers to benefit from, among others, an enhanced and streamlined booking experience,” the company said.

Christian Weidener, director network at WCS, commented: “With new technologies and processes, we are better able to meet our airline customers’ needs and create stronger connectivity within our global network.

“With more control of our pricing, and cargo management, we are able to expand our capacities and our revenue. We are delighted to meet the needs of the post-pandemic world.”

David Linford, director, sales and account management at Champ Cargosystems, added: “It is an honor that WCS has chosen CHAMP technologies for its operations.

“Our cargo management applications not only help serve WCS internally, but also its customers through easier booking, shipment management, and competitive pricing.”
