AA Cargo launches Såo Paulo route

AMERICAN Airlines Cargo’s (AA Cargo) wide-body service from Los Angeles (LAX) to Såo Paulo, Brazil (GRU) is set to get underway.
“We’re excited to begin offering this new service and we expect it to be a great opportunity for our customers moving freight from Asia to Brazil,” enthuses Jim Butler, president of AA Cargo
“This new service is just another way we’re growing our global network and continuing to provide our customers with more options for shipping.”
The US carrier will be operating a B777-200ER on the daily, non-stop service (from December 18), which provides customers with a fourth gateway to and from Såo Paulo, says a statement.
American also runs services between Sao Paulo and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK) and LAX.
Automotive parts, equipment and infrastructure for mobile networks, as well as international mail, are expected to be the primary exports from Asia.
Perishables and aircraft parts are likely to be among the major exports from Brazil.
