AIR Cargo Germany (ACG) has started flying to Shanghai and Hong Kong.“We are extremely pleased to finally having obtained the required traffic rights from the Chinese civil aviation authority, which we had applied for months ago,” said the carrier’s chief executive officer, Michael Bock. “This is of great help since we do not have to apply for traffic permissions for each individual flight to China any longer,” he added.Shanghai will be served four times a week and Hong Kong three times. Both round trips originate in Frankfurt-Hahn airport and are conducted either as line-haul services or as a combination of charter and scheduled flights via Dubai, Almaty or other destinations in the Middle East or Central Asia, depending on demand by shippers and agents.“This mixed operational business model enhances our load factor and lowers our financial risks,” said ACG’s managing director, Thomas Homering.
