Activairs MD to leave family business
24 / 11 / 2008
MATT Evans, managing director of Activair, is to leave the company. From the start of 2009 he will step down from his role but still be retained for occasional projects.
Geoff Corpe, President EMEA and West Asia said: “Matt plans to depart at the end of this year. It was always his intention to focus on his other interests following the sale of Activair to OHL USA, but I am happy to report that we will retain his services on specific projects. His father, Howard Evans, will continue as Activair chairman and his sister Natalie continues to manage our sales liaison office, based in Johannesburg.
“I don’t plan to replace Matt during 2009 as group managing director of Activair because roles and the organisation structure are evolving as we integrate the three companies acquired by OHL, namely Dart, Barthco and Activair.”
Howard Evans was one of the founding members of the company in 1978.
