Aegean Airlines appoints new GSSA for Spain and Portugal

AEGEAN Airlines has appointed CRS Airline Representatives as its first cargo GSSA for Spain and Portugal. CRS is the sixth member of the EGSAC independent GSSA network to win a contract with the airline.

Aegean began operating five flights per week from Barcelona in July 2009, using A320 aircraft.

Should Aegean eventually increase its services, either with a second Spanish gateway or larger aircraft, CRS will be able to connect the airline’s service to the networks of other client carriers including Aerosure, SBA (formerly Santa Barbara) Airlines, TAM, as well as further Leisure Cargo Services.

CRS director, Toni Beato, said: “We are delighted to have won the representation for Aegean Airlines, which offers excellent coverage of the most important destinations throughout mainland Greece and the Greek islands.
“We are hopeful that the airline will develop its services to the Iberian Peninsula, which will enable us to open up many more opportunities for them.”
