AEROMEXPRESS Cargo, announce its new US subsidiary, AMX Cargo Inc.
AMX Cargo headquartered in Miami, will focus all its efforts on providing high quality air cargo services linking Miami to Central America and the Caribbean. Its strategic alliance with Air Transport Services Group, will allow it to fly a fleet of modern and efficient B767-200 freighters operated by ABX Air and ATI.
AMX Cargo began service on 31 July, 2008 covering its initial route MIA-SJU-SDQ-MIA. This route will be operated three times per week. Central America operations will start on 13 August, serving the Cost Rican and Guatemalan markets on a daily basis, as well as Panama twice weekly. Daily belly service from MIA-MEX, will be offered on passenger aircrafts of Aeromexico and Mexicana effective 15 August, 2008.
AMX Cargo has gathered a strong and experienced team, which will be led by Jaime Silva, a well-known professional in the air cargo market. Juan Rodriguez, chief executive officer of Aeromexpress Cargo, will be chairman of the board of this new company.
