Aeronautical Engineers Inc to convert two MD-83SFs for TSM

Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) has announced that it will provide two MD-83SF freighter conversions to Aeronaves T.S.M. S.A. de C.V. (TSM) based in Saltillo, Mexico.

The aircraft will be the thirteenth and fourteenth AEI-converted MD-80SFs to join the TSM fleet.

TSM currently operates 11 AEI-converted MD-80SFs. Modification for the twelfth aircraft started in November 2019 and it is due to be re-delivered by the end of March this year.

Conversion work on the thirteenth aircraft will commence in March and on the fourteenth one, in November.

Touch labour for both aircraft conversions will be performed by Commercial Jets Miami in Florida, an authorised AEI Conversion Center.

The converted MD-83SFs will provide TSM with an Ancra CLS certification.
